Serving individuals in Howard, Merrick, Valley, Sherman, Greeley, and Hall counties. HCMC offers in-person locations in St. Paul and Greeley. Telehealth is also available for those who are unable to attend in-person sessions or who live in Nebraska but are located in rural areas. 

Mental Health Services FAQ 

What insurance companies or other payment methods are accepted? 

HCMC accepts most major insurance companies including Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance. Self-pay or financial aid/sliding scale fees are available upon request.

Why telehealth? 

Telehealth for mental health counseling offers convenient access to therapy from the comfort of your own home, removing barriers, saving time, and cutting down on travel expenses. Additionally, telehealth expands access to mental health services, particularly for those in remote areas or with limited mobility, ensuring more people can receive the support they need.

What is clinical social work?

Clinical social work is a specialized field within social work that focuses on providing mental health and behavioral health and behavioral support to individuals, families, and communities. Clinical social workers are trained professionals who assess, diagnose, and treat various mental health issues, and work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

What ages can receive counseling services? 

Anyone from birth on up, may receive services. Parent/Guardian participation may be required depending on the age and/or development of the individual receiving services.
