Cardiac Rehab
Neal Dethlefs, a recent Cardiac Rehab graduate, said the best thing about Cardiac Rehab at Howard Medical Center is the convenience. "You can't beat it. I would have otherwise had to drive to Grand Island," he said. "Heather also makes the program very easy to follow, and she is easy to talk to."

Endocrinology
Ed began receiving treatment from endocrinologist Dr. Shannon Wakeley at our Specialty Clinic after being referred by Dr. Jared Kramer. "I get along good with the staff," Ed said. "I like joking around and giving them a hard time." When asked what he would tell others referred to the endocrinology clinic, he said, "Get your butt over here. I have had a lot of luck with it."
Endocrinology, the treatment of hormone-producing glands, is offered via telehealth twice a month in the Specialty Clinic.
Obsetrics
"Overall, we were very happy with all the staff at HCMC. Everyone was very experienced, knowledgeable and eager to help," said Jacelyn A., mother of Sage. "Something I did not expect was being so comfortable during my delivery and that everyone in the room was able to have lighthearted conversation.
"I really believe this helped keep me relaxed and allowed the process to go well," she said. "One concern I had ahead of time was palcement of my epidural. I thought it could possibly be a terribly painful experience, but in fact, it was completely quick and painless!"
Treatment Room Services
"I'm glad to have this service so close to home," said Joyce Peetz, who regularly visits with pharmacists Jim Coover during her trios to our infusion room. "I love that I can call him right up and ask him any question. I never feel like a pest, and he answers all my questions and makes me feel like my questions are important.
"I live between Greeley and Wolbach, and it is so nice to not have to drive to Grand Island to receive my treatments," she said. " I feel very safe in this facility, even through all the COVID. I was very apprehensive at first, but everyone here is safe with all their precautions."
